Common Questions
What is depth integration?
Depth integration is long-arc work focused on metabolizing significant experiences and reorganizing the internal patterns that shape how a person thinks, relates, and makes decisions.
It goes beyond insight or coping strategies and works toward structural change over time.
How is this different from therapy?
Depth integration work is not psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Many people who engage in this work have already done therapy and are seeking a different kind of reflective or integrative process.
Who is this work appropriate for?
This work tends to be most useful for individuals who:
• have already done meaningful personal or therapeutic work
• are stable enough for deeper exploration
• are willing to engage in a long-arc process rather than quick solutions
Who is this work not appropriate for?
Depth integration work requires a certain level of stability and readiness.
This work may not be appropriate right now if you are:
• in acute psychological crisis
• actively experiencing severe instability
• seeking immediate symptom relief or short-term intervention
• looking for quick solutions rather than a longer process
Depth work involves engaging material that unfolds over time. It requires enough
internal stability to stay in relationship with the process. That said, everyone begins somewhere.
If you are unsure whether this work is appropriate for you, you are welcome to reach out. If depth integration is not the right fit at this time, I will say so directly and help point you toward forms of support that may be more helpful.
How long does this work usually last?
Depth integration unfolds over time. Some engagements last several months. Others continue for a year or more.
The timeline is determined by the depth of the material and the needs of the individual.
Do I need to use psychedelics to work with you?
No.Psychedelic work is only one of several tools that may be used in certain contexts. Many people work with me without any psychedelic component.
What happens during the consultation?
The consultation is a structured conversation where we explore:
• what you are currently navigating
• what feels unresolved
• what kind of work may be appropriate
It is a mutual assessment to determine whether this work is a good fit.
What if this work is not the right fit?
If depth integration is not appropriate for your situation, I will say so clearly and respectfully and may suggest other forms of support.
